Paradise Boutique was originally a pop-up swimwear store on Lower Johnson in Victoria, BC in the early 1990's.A Summer favourite with the locals, we were then known as Paradise Cove, thee place to get locally made swimwear made right there on LoJo. eventually the little pop-up that could moved to a permanent year round location just up the street where we're located today! In 2003, Annie, original owner and designer sold Paradise Cove to her daughters, Rosebud and Dani. They diversified the shop, adding a fun mix of clothing and accessories and changing the name to better fit the new feel; Paradise Boutique was born. For the next 12 years Rosebud and Dani solidified Paradise as a Johnson Street staple, selling their mum's well-loved swimwear designs alongside various Canadian and International brands. In late 2015, after much thought and deliberation, Rosebud and Dani sold the little shop to Apple He, so they could move on to fulfill other dreams of theirs and a new era of Paradise started.
Apple loves the colourful shop here on Johnson and has maintained the feel-good nature of this Victoria classic. Annie's original swimsuits are still sold in the shop under the name Avabell Designs, as well as her daughter Dani's line of one of a kind dresses, Ola Dubois.
Until next time,
We'll see you in Paradise.
